The STEM Education Alliance staff recently attended Maker Expo 2015, a MakerBot Challenge put on by Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Prior to the event, students from schools throughout Virginia Beach designed a product and created it using a 3D printer. At the Expo, students gave a product pitch and presentation to a panel of judges. The role of the STEM Education Alliance was to provide mentors who have 3D printing experience to each of the participating Operation PRIDE schools: Brandon Middle School, Larkspur Middle School, White Oaks Elementary School, and Green Run High School.
